Internet Cartography
The Internet has forever altered the rules
of cartography. Online geographic information is now being
communicated to non-specialists, making the need for clear,
accessible cartographic representation more critical than
ever before.
Our Internet cartographers do not create traditional
maps. They design rules for building efficient, conflict-free
maps-most of which they will never actually see. Their design
establishes the rules to create a map at any scale, at any
geographic extent, in a way that will effectively visualize
layers that could be displayed using any one of thousands
of potential combinations.

Complete Internet
Map Site Hosting
Latitude Geographics is a licensed Application
Service Provider (ASP) for ESRI's ArcIMS software. This
allows us to host ArcIMS/ArcSDE-based Internet maps on our
servers for our clients. Hosting clients are not required
to license any software or purchase any hardware. All aspects
of deployment are completely managed and included.
With no long-term commitment, our Complete
ArcIMS Hosting is an excellent way to get started with ArcIMS
or cost-effectively deploy small sites in the long term.

Managed Co-location
Hosting
With Managed Co-location, a client's ArcIMS
architecture (software and hardware) is deployed from the
Latitude Geographics Data Centre and is managed by our team
of expert ArcIMS administrators. Outsourcing ArcIMS deployment
to Latitude Geographics is an extremely cost effective way
to deploy an ArcIMS architecture, while ensuring maximum
ArcIMS security, performance and uptime. There is no long
term contract, and we have a proven migration strategy,
should you wish to deploy in-house at any time. This service
is extremely popular with clients--ask to talk to some of
our existing co-location clients!

Migration & Training
Our business model combines the advantages
of short-timeframe application development with the long-term
benefits of in-house knowledge transfer.
We often work with clients to migrate their
hosted or co-located applications in-house. This requires
that their staff have all of the skills need to maintain
a high quality, near-zero downtime ArcIMS installation.
Steady, sustainable growth is facilitated
by our internal Internet-based geographer training program.
Aspects of this comprehensive program are applied to client
training.
We strongly believe in the importance of tailoring
Internet mapping training to meet each client's unique needs.
The scope of training depends on clients' pre-existing IT
knowledge, though we typically send one of our experienced
Internet geographers to conduct two to five days of on-site
training and implementation support.
This training is followed by ongoing rapid-response
telephone and email support. We believe that if a client
needs post-migration technical support, they deserve it
as soon as humanly possible.

Deployment Support
We provide a number of support services to
clients running an Internet mapping deployment in-house.
Support includes a variety of services from application
troubleshooting to emergency site mirroring and monitoring.
Internet-based Geography is our full time
focus. We live and breathe ArcIMS. If you are self-sufficient,
but have the odd problem every now and then, our knowledge
may be of assistance.
