Latitude Geographics Group Ltd. recently filled the positions of Director of Marketing and Internet Geographer. During our last round of hiring we were impressed by the experience and enthusiasm of the applicants.

We may be looking for another Internet Geographer in the near future.

Our Internet Geographer positions require individuals with a geography background and strong knowledge of computer programming.

Qualifications:

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of broad issues in geography and the environment
• Knowledge of geomatics and cartography
• Knowledge of many of the following software packages and technologies: JSP, ASP, C++, Java, Visual Basic, JavaScript, XML, ArcIMS, ArcGIS, ArcSDE, Oracle, MS SQL Server
• Knowledge of Linux and Microsoft based server technologies

• Designing/developing customized Internet Mapping applications for clients
• Developing custom viewers, databases, and technical applications to enhance the existing service offering for specific client applications
• Server/network administration and troubleshooting
