At Latitude Geographics, we believe that geography provides a means to help people make vastly better decisions about the world around us. Our mission is to leverage the Internet to put the extraordinary power of geographic information in the hands of people in a readily usable form.

We accomplish this through our Geocortex division; by creating great software that makes it as easy as possible for organizations to deliver web-based mapping and simplified Geographic Information System (GIS) capabilities to end-users.

From conservation groups and government agencies to heavy industry, we provide our Geocortex technology to a diverse base of customers around the world. What they have in common is an understanding of the power of web-based geospatial technology to increase the speed and quality of decision making.

The value of our work has resonated with many like-minded folks. Since founding the company in 1999, we've grown steadily—thanks largely to referrals from our wonderful customers. We remain relatively small—our firm presently consists of about fifty staff. And, I'm proud to say we've never deviated from of our core values.

We'll continue to invest heavily in developing smart new approaches as part of our products and services. Our day-to-day activities revolve around groundbreaking software, strong partnerships, expert services, and a long-term vision for the future.

Our approach has changed the way many organizations tackle web-GIS implementations and has helped spawn an important specialty—we simplify deployment of ESRI's web-based mapping technology by creating great products that eliminate inefficiencies in the process of building, upgrading, and maintaining applications. We also introduce powerful additional capabilities, while keeping licensees in proper alignment with ESRI's long-term development path. Quite simply, licensing and building on a Geocortex foundation also happens to be the most fiscally sensible way to build an ESRI-powered web-based GIS system.

In March, we were announced as one of ESRI's first Platinum Business Partners (representing the top 1% of ESRI partners) as well as being ESRI Canada's 2010 Partner of the Year. Thanks to my colleagues, our partners, and our customers for your contributions to these achievements.
