Latitude Geographics Group Ltd., through our Geocortex Internet Mapping division, is in the business of helping people succeed with web-based geography to enable better decisions.
Since our launch in 1999, we’ve grown steadily—thanks largely to referrals from enthusiastic customers. We’ve invested heavily in developing new products and services that reflect the evolving needs of our clients—our business model centers around great software, expert services, and a clear vision for the future. Our firm presently consists of thirty-three staff.
Our approach has changed the way organizations tackle web-GIS implementations and helped spawn a new industry—we simplify ArcIMS and ArcGIS Server deployment by creating great products that eliminate inefficiencies in the process of building, upgrading, and maintaining applications. Bottom line; we save people money and create a clear path to success.
These are exciting times for Latitude Geographics. Last year, we were acknowledged as #35 on the 19th annual PROFIT 100 ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies (we were #34 for 2006) and we were pleased to accept an award as ESRI Canada’s Foundation Partner of the Year in 2006. With the coming transition to ArcGIS Server, we believe we are uniquely well-positioned for considerable future growth.
Given strong early interest in Geocortex Essentials, we’re also in the process of getting in touch and partnering with complementary, best-of-class firms across North America and around the world to serve as distributors/resellers or implementers of our next-generation Geocortex software products.
Our Geocortex R&D team will continue to focus on the frontiers of ESRI’s server technology to identify challenges likely to be encountered by developers and implementers in the real-world, and then solve those challenges so our clients and partners don’t have to.
While project work continues, our focus is on helping people prepare for their future transition to ESRI’s important new 9.2 technology. From Geocortex IMF to Geocortex Essentials, our objective is to do for ArcGIS Server what we did for ArcIMS—simplify life for our clients.
Today, .NET-based organizations can jumpstart ArcGIS Server development using Geocortex Essentials, engineered from the ground-up for use with ESRI’s .NET Application Development Framework (ADF). More products to enable smooth transition to ArcGIS Server are on their way.
We’re gearing up for our 3rd Annual IMF/Geocortex User Conference (www.geocortex.com/uc), which I think will be a great event.
Yours truly,
Steven Myhill-Jones
