Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Victoria, BC, Latitude Geographics Group Ltd. has grown in prominence in the GIS (Geographic Information Systems) industry for its popular software products and services. Though still relatively small (about 30 people), we have experienced steady growth—and we only grow as quickly as we can find exceptional people.

Our business revolves around our Geocortex Internet Mapping division (www.geocortex.com), which helps people use computer-based geographic information to make better decisions. From firefighters using a web-based Geocortex browser to view near real-time thermal imagery of fires burning beneath the ground around them in Alberta forests, to librarians trying to figure out what kind of books they should acquire based on spatial patterns and population demographics, we invent and create technology to make complex GIS tools usable by non-specialist users.
